How to Port Jio Mobile Number into Another Network
You must ask your existing network operator for a special porting number before porting your mobile number. Send an SMS to 1900 from your current network number with the text “PORT space> Mobile number” to request a porting code. Your telecom network will then send a UPC (Unique Porting Code) to your Jio number.
When migrating your Jio cell number to another network, this crucial code is required. Simply adhere to the directions below to port your Jio mobile number.
Step 1: Go to the operator store or retailer store that is closest to where you wish to port out.
Step 2: Ask the CEO of the store or shop now if you wish to port from your present network to theirs.
Step 3: The executive will fill out the porting form and finish other necessary procedures, such as submitting the necessary paperwork and the porting money.
Step 4: You will be given a new SIM card by the store clerk, and you will get a message confirming your porting request.
Step 5: This procedure will require four to five days, while porting inside a Licensed Service Area (LSA)—for instance, within Gujarat LSA—takes three working days. It takes five working days to port from one LSA to another (for example, from Delhi to Mumbai). Additionally, the porting process for corporate numbers takes five working days. [In the nation, there are 22 geographical areas recognized as LSA] In the licensed service zones of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, and the North East, porting may take up to 15 working days.
Step 6: Put the new SIM in your phone, and your old network sim will automatically stop working.
Step 7: When you see signal bars in your phone, dial 59059 to activate Post verification on the network of your new service provider.
Note – By texting the words “CANCEL Space> Ten digit mobile number whose porting request is sought to be canceled” to 1900 within 24 hours of filing the porting request, a subscriber may withdraw the request. Additionally, the customer will not be eligible for a refund of any unused porting fees after withdrawing.
